About Me: I am a teenage girl living in out of home care. I have an autism diagnosis. I maintain a very close relationship with my family who pop by to see me several times a week. I enjoy going to school and look forward to it. I have a love for the wiggles, enjoy waterplay, and love to eat crunchy and spicy foods. I need assistance with administering my medication and all my activities of daily living. I need support to safely access the community and explore my interests. I love going to AQWA, op-shopping, and enjoy swimming too – I’m a good swimmer. I need full supervision and some direct help with my personal cares. I will need you to be patient but confident as you help me with emotional regulation and behaviour support. I am independently mobile. Organisational Environment: Quality Healthcare Solutions is led by experienced registered nursing professionals offering partnership & support through Supported Independent Living (SIL), Nursing Care, & Participation in Community Activities. We provide our clients with support to assist with daily challenges for a range of physical, intellectual, and psychosocial disabilities. A client centered and trauma informed approach is important to us. We offer tailored support for each clients’ unique goals, abilities, and lifestyle choices. Primary Objectives: The Disability Support Worker plays a vital role in Quality Healthcare Solutions client experience by providing quality, responsive, empathic and compassionate care that supports a trusting and long-term relationship with our clients. The Disability Support Worker meets the changing needs of clients, supporting them in their homes and whilst out in the community through the provision of flexible services including personal and respite care, social support, domestic assistance, and support. Requirements necessary for this role: A firm desire to build a rapport that is client centered and based on trust, honesty, and personal integrity is important. So too is understanding emotional dysregulation and behaviour. Flexibility is needed for 24/7 care requirements, including weekends, sleepover, and active night shifts. Prompting attendance to personal care and providing support with daily activities is a component of this role. We are looking for staff to cover Tuesday nights (11pm- 8.30am), Saturday afternoons (3pm -11pm), and Sunday afternoons (3pm – 11pm), as well as, ongoing availability to cover morning shifts during the school holidays. Mandatory: Current WA Driver’s License Current Medication Certificate Current First Aid Certificate NDIS Worker Screening Check Working With Children Check National Police Clearance Qualifications, Experience & Skills: Experience supporting individuals with an autism diagnosis requiring positive behaviour support Ability to communicate sensitively with others. Ability to complete administrative tasks.
