Job Description The Opportunity Chemical Engineering Graduate Program Viva’s Geelong Refinery converts crude oil into transport fuels, solvents, plastic and bitumen playing a key role in transitioning to sustainable energy solutions. We have two roles available for Chemical Engineering graduates to join a team that supports operations and capital projects that will enable you to acquire valuable skills and experience in the following areas: Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance of our Supply Assets Provide process engineering services focused on operational monitoring and optimisation, problem analysis and plant improvements Support the day-to-day operation of the plant, in a team environment with Chemical Engineers, operators, maintainers and managers Support projects in areas such as renewable feedstocks; margin, energy, and safety improvements; product quality improvements; advanced process control improvements Rotations may involve: Working in different plant areas and refining processes Developing plant improvement projects Safety risk assessments Finding root causes of process problems Scheduling plant operations Implementing energy improvement ideas Evaluating the technical feasibility and economic consequences of alternative strategies Monitoring and improving the performance of equipment (pumps, pipes, vessels, valves, heat exchangers, distillation columns, reactors, furnaces etc.)
