About The Role: The Course Coordinator for the Master of Social Work bridges academic and administrative functions, collaborating with the Head of Department on key issues, particularly risk management. The role oversees daily operations, including timetabling, resource planning, assessments, and student progress, ensuring alignment across stakeholders. Additionally, the Course Coordinator contributes to report preparation, course development, staff professional development, academic policy, and workplace health and safety, while also teaching within the course to foster a supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide academic and operational leadership by managing course operations, including timetabling, resources, and assessments. Assist with course development, support Advisory Committees, and contribute to research and policy evaluations. Lead staff professional development initiatives while monitoring student progress, performance, and satisfaction. Skills & Attributes: Hold a PhD in Social Work, Community Services, Community Welfare, Human Services, or a related field, along with a relevant industry experience. Exhibit leadership skills with outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities. Skilled in data entry, database management and online learning platforms with strong report-writing capabilities. Capable of prioritising and managing multiple tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
