About the role This position is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of road and stormwater drainage infrastructure asset maintenance services, including managing a large team, budgets, and responding to customer requests. Relocation assistance may be provided from the council. Leaseback vehicle Duties Lead and manage a large team, including supervisors and operational personnel. Play a pivotal role in emergency response and disaster recovery efforts. Oversee the maintenance of road and stormwater assets. Develop and implement asset maintenance program s and drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices. Ensure compliance with relevant policies, standards , and legislative requirements. Oversee a substantial operational budget of approximately $10 million annually. Respond to customer requests and complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Skills & Experience: Bachelor of Engineering Degree - Civil At least 10 years of relevant experience in road and stormwater infrastructure maintenance. Demonstrated experience in managing large teams and operational budgets. Experience with disaster recovery funding is highly regarded. Local government experience is highly regarded.
