The Position To provide a leadership role in the development and implementation of effective asset management strategies for the planning and development of AlburyCity's assets. Qualifications & experience Degree in Engineering (Civil) and/or equivalent relevant experience Class C (Standard) Driver's Licence (compulsory to have and maintain) Experience in asset management of municipal infrastructure with particular emphasis on future planning, modelling and program development Thorough understanding and competence in the following areas: Asset Management principles Data base management Tasks & responsibilities Provide effective staff management, including recruitment, performance management and employee development, employee motivation and foster team harmony. Contribute to the continued development and implementation of Council's asset management strategy and plans. Develop and implement processes to monitor the condition of Council's assets to ensure their timely maintenance renewal and replacement. Coordinate the development of maintenance and renewal programs including cost estimates and expenditure forecasts for Council's overall asset base. Complete asset valuation and other financial reporting requirements for Council's infrastructure assets. Hours Based on a 35 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines.
