Your New Role: KSC is seeking a dedicated Asset Management Engineer to work within the Strategic & Asset Planning group, reporting to the Asset Management Manager, this role offers opportunity for career growth. As the Asset Management Engineer, you will play a key role in providing strategic advice in respect of sustainable, efficient, and effective infrastructure management for our community. The Asset Management Engineer will assist in the development of Council’s asset management strategies, the management of Council’s asset management systems and for providing an integrated and holistic asset management service. This includes developing, monitoring, maintaining, and implementing asset management systems, plans, registers, strategies and policies. Key Accountabilities include: Develop and maintain comprehensive Asset Management Plans (AMPs) for key infrastructure assets, including roads, paths, bridges, stormwater systems, water and sewer networks and other public facilities. Support the development and maintenance of Council’s asset management systems for all asset classes including asset registers, asset investment models, and asset condition or parameters. Support the development and maintenance of Council’s asset management framework, policy, strategies, processes, and procedures. About You: To be successful in this role, you will possess a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as civil engineering, infrastructure asset management engineering or considerable relevant experience. You will have a minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure asset management, preferably within a local government context and have proven experience in managing a range of infrastructure assets, including roads, drainage, water and sewer, and other public facilities. Your will also possess: Experience with asset management software and digital tools for data collection and analysis (e.g., Assetic, Reflect). Demonstrated experience in the development of long- and short-term asset renewal and maintenance programs. Professional accreditation (RPEng) or eligibility for accreditation, highly considered Certifications in Asset Management (e.g., AM Council, IPWEA) or Project Management are desirable You will also possess, superior organisational and communication skills, be committed to the provision of quality stakeholder engagement and have sound facilitation, conflict management, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
