Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences Full-time, fixed-term position for up to 12 months Base salary will be in the range $80,523.29 - $89,505.38 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 5) Based at our Herston or St Lucia Campus About This Opportunity We are seeking a friendly and motivated Student and Academic Administration Officer in the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences to provide high quality customer service through the delivery of friendly, helpful, accurate, and informative advice and services to students, professional and academic staff. This position is responsible for completing a diverse range of administrative processing tasks and associated day-to-day problem resolution and maintenance of administrative systems. We currently have 2 positions: 4-5 month position based at Herston Up to 12-month position based at St Lucia. Key responsibilities will include : Provide administrative support to the Faculty’s Student and Academic administration team, enhancing the teaching and learning profile. Collate and provide information, recommendations, and secretariat support on appeals, grievances, and misconduct in line with University policies and legislation. Liaise with students, staff, and stakeholders, ensuring accurate information on academic matters, and assist with updates to publications and academic procedures. Process applications and documentation for students in relation to admission, progression, examinations, class-sign on, study abroad, enrolment, surveillance and other student administrative tasks. A sound understanding of student and academic administration processes, with the ability to quickly gain knowledge and adapt to institutional procedures and policies. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all written work. Strong initiative and judgment skills, capable of working independently with minimal supervision, and taking ownership of tasks and projects. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with students, staff, and stakeholders, while delivering high-quality customer service. Experience in a tertiary education environment or similar large organization, along with knowledge of student administration systems (e.g., SI-net, Business Objects, InPlace), and proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems, is highly desirable.
