Office Manager / Admin Officer Large multi-campus Christian school Leongatha location Ongoing position (approx. 0.7 to 0.9 FTE) Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with 1,900 Kinder to Year 12 students attending five picturesque campuses in West and South Gippsland, the Latrobe Valley and the south-eastern outskirts of Melbourne. Our mission is to provide excellence in Christ-centred education in partnership with families within a caring Christian community. In doing this, we aim to prepare students thoroughly for further study, careers, service and life in general. We are currently seeking the services of a dedicated Office Manager and Administration Officer at our Leongatha campus, commencing in Term 2 this year and working 4 or 5 days per week during school terms, plus some work during term breaks as required. This position will involve job-sharing with the current Office Manager as part of a retirement succession plan and will involve the provision of exemplary, efficient and professional support to the principal and other staff members in the context of Christian education. Some key responsibilities will include the following: · Set a godly example to students and fellow staff members through their practice, manner, relationships and general lifestyle · Develop, implement and oversee administrative procedures and systems to enhance efficiency · Manage enrolment enquiries and tour bookings for the campus · Supervise a team of administration staff and first aid officers · Contribute to campus event management · Assist with problem-solving related to administration challenges and support general office duties as needed · Provide hospitality, logistics and support for guests and visitors to the campus Having obtained relevant experience in administration, the successful candidate will also possess the following important characteristics: · Demonstrated commitment to the school’s Statement of Faith · Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills · Friendly and professional demeanour · Ability to work both independently and within a team environment · High standard of keyboard skills and computer literacy, including MS Word, MS Excel · Attention to detail with high proof-reading skills and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality The safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all our students is a high priority.
