The key duties of the position include The Role Are you an organised, adaptable, and proactive professional with a passion for coordination and problem-solving? We are seeking a dedicated Tasking & Admin Assistant (TAA) to join the Airlift and Tanker Systems Branch (ATS) within the Department of Defence. ATS has important responsibilities to lead, enable and deliver essential Air capabilities for Defence and Australia. Reporting directly to the Tasking & Coordination Officer, you will support ATS to achieve its mission and objectives. As an integral part of the Executive Support Directorate, you will contribute to the effective operation of ATS Branch and its multiple Program Offices in order to achieve Defence outcomes. As TAA, you will evaluate and allocate incoming task requests, liaise with internal and external stakeholders and, monitor and manage tasks through internal tracking systems to ensure effective task completion. This position is essential to the efficient functioning of Branch, supporting the development and execution of complex, multi-agency tasks. About our Team ATS Branch is responsible for the sustainment and related acquisition of key capabilities for Air Force. The Branch partners with Defence Industry and allied forces to acquire, sustain and deliver capability for Air Mobility Group within Air Force. To assist you with the demands of this role, you will be supported by, and collaborate with, the broader ATS executive team who are a combination of skilled and motivated Australian Public Service and Australian Defence Force personnel.
