We are working with the largest privately owned company in the US to hire a new Regional Sales Manager for their team based in Sydney. Our client has a long history in their space and have acquired a number of businesses on their journey and offer a broad range of solutions sold into education, academia, libraries, healthcare and government space. This role can be fully remote based in Sydney from a home office, or be hybrid/office based depending on your working preferences with their office located near to transport and trains in North Sydney. Regional Sales Manager We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager based to drive sales of their research platforms, content, managed services and various solutions into education, academia, libraries, healthcare and government space. They have over 420 solutions so lots of avenues to win new business in existing accounts. There is zero new logo acquisition required - however - we are keen to secure someone who can secure new business as well as retain business in existing accounts with your patch having a large number of 300 universities, K-12 schools, libraries, government and health clients. The Team The role is reporting into the Director of Sales and you'd be joining a team of existing RSMs who have their own patches so there's no internal competition on your patch. The tenure is very strong and the entire team has been achieving above target with YoY growth. A recent change means all products now fall under one team rather being split out which means your client base, products you can sell and earning potential have all grown substantially. AS part of the role you'll partner with an AE who will do lot of inside sales for/with you. As part of this role there will be lots of training and learning of their products as and you'll also be trained on the CHALLENGER Sales Methodology. Overview We are looking for a sales professional with a positive attitude, exceptional communication skills and can make strategic sales decisions on who to sell to across their large patch of clients. The opportunities are tremendous and its part growth so selling new solutions into your client base whilst resigning existing business minimising cancellations within your account base. There's no sales target in terms of number of deals its all revenue driven and the huge number of products means deal sizes can vary from small to $50-$100-$250K and more and you will build strong relationships with libraries and relevant business environments in the region. Success will be achieving good outcomes for revenue, opportunity pipeline, and activity levels in the markets. You will Sell research platforms and associated content into your customer base with their being 420 types of solutions Sell proprietary and partner SaaS products into the medical, government and education sectors. Use a data driven approach to execute your sales strategy to help you maintain and win new business for your customers Build strong long-term customer relationships and execute on each of your sales plans to drive desired outcomes. Travel within the NSW state with some international travel required Experience and Background 5 years experience in sales Experience selling EdTech, Research platforms, Publishing or content into Universities, K12 Schools or Libraries or similar. Strong at presentations, consultative selling, meetings, conferences and training. Demonstrated experience winning new business in existing or new accounts - you need to be able to discuss this in the interview.
