About the Opportunity: As an Assistant Warehouse Storeman and Driver, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our warehouse's efficient and effective operation. You will have the opportunity to develop your warehouse management and logistics skills by working closely with our technicians and operations team to ensure the smooth flow of goods. We have two warehouse locations, Richmond and Laverton, with most deliveries starting from our Laverton warehouse. A valid forklift license (essential). A scaffolding license is preferable but not essential. Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities: Assist in inventory management: Maintain inventory control procedures to optimise stock levels, as well as ensure the timely and accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Logistics coordination: Oversee the receiving of goods and ensure timely and accurate unloading of containers, processing and delivery. Safety and compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and streamline warehouse operations. Teamwork: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall supply chain performance.
