Team Manager Warehouse Toll People are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Team Manager to join a National company located in Winnellie, Darwin. The purpose of the position of Team Manager is to supervise and organise routine daily operations in the Warehouse. This primarily involves the responsibility for overseeing planning efficiencies, directing the NT Team and supporting improvements of receiving operation through to final despatch to achieve business goals and profit objectives. Position is Permanent and for immediate start. Position is readvertised - previous applicants need not apply Principle Accountabilities: Responsible for ensuring all inbound, replenishment and outbound processes are effectively planned and managed in conjunction with WA SLM. Accountable for delivering within the budgeted labour costs of all permanent and casual staff in the operational area of the warehouse Driving to ensuring highest possible service levels are achieved, in line with customer expectations Actively coordinate change management to drive productivity and cost efficiencies Maintain day to day operations standards Coordinate cross training for all team members in the DC Work with State Logistics Manager to co-ordinate improvement initiatives Hold monthly meeting townhalls and weekly toolboxes with team providing trend analysis and feedback in all areas Maintain a positive culture throughout the Operational functions within the remit and work with peers and managers to drive it through the businessOversee facilities management for the DC whilst working closely with necessary stakeholders Drive local OH&S programme and promote a "Safety First" culture within the business OH&S Hazard Management Report any incidents or accidents using forms provided Compliance with the National OH&S Management System To be successful in this role you will have: Leadership: Use positive influence effectively to meet objectives and maintain or build working relationships Use personal influence in daily situations Competencies and Skills: Excellent Customer Service skills Knowledge of relevant legislation including Compliance & Enforcement Relationship management and influencing skills Excellent communication skills, highly service orientated Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel etc) Qualifications & Experience: Experience in management of a team in a warehousing environment Knowledge of state legislation for OH&S and Industrial Relations Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups, projects or initiatives Strong understanding of Logistics Operations and processes Proven experience in implementing process improvement and change management Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with many different departments If you meet all the above criteria, we would like to hear from you at the earliest opportunity.
