About the Role: Reporting directly to the State Manager, you will lead the warehouse and distribution teams to optimize workflow, improve productivity, and ensure seamless operations. You will play a key role in strategic planning, workforce management, and enhancing distribution efficiency while upholding the highest standards of safety and customer service. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Operational Efficiency : Develop and implement distribution strategies to maximize productivity, reduce costs, and enhance service levels. Warehouse & Distribution Management : Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring timely order fulfillment, stock accuracy, and adherence to safety regulations. Staff Development & Team Leadership : Recruit, train, and mentor warehouse and logistics personnel, fostering a high-performance culture. Ability to lead daily, weekly and monthly meetings with team is a must-have. Process Improvement : Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies such as Kanban to optimize workflow and minimize waste. Customer-Focused Distribution : Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Safety & Compliance : Champion workplace safety, ensuring compliance with WHS regulations and company policies. Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with operations, production, and sales teams to align warehouse and distribution goals with broader business objectives. Budget & Cost Control : Manage staffing and resource allocation within budget while identifying opportunities for cost savings. Stock Control & Inventory Management : Oversee stocktakes and inventory processes to maintain accuracy and efficiency. About You: Proven experience in warehouse, distribution, and logistics management. Strong leadership and team-building skills with a focus on staff development. Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanning, and MS Office (Excel & Word essential). Experience in implementing and managing lean manufacturing principles such as Kanban. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
