The key duties of the position include The Role Reporting to the Assistant Director Health Analytics and Insights, the Graphic Designer will: Be able to work under limited direction to complete complex graphic design work within an integrated workforce. Develop and understanding of and compliance with relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making, and Defence's mission and policy requirements. Have demonstrated experience relating to graphic design and be proficient with visualisation tools such as INDESIGN, Adobe Illustrator Graph tool, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Power Point etc. Design and develop engaging visualisations for a range of products such placemats, reports, dashboards and other traditional graphic design products. Have high-level communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders. Work with stakeholders and business areas to translate business needs into design specifications. Collaborate with the Health Information Office technical team to provide continuity of design products and assets created by the office. About our Team As part of the Military Personnel Organisation (MPO), Joint Health Command (JHC) makes a direct contribution to operational capability of the Australian Defence Force through the delivery of reliable, resilient, affordable and best practice health services. The Health Information Office (HIO) supports these activities by enabling data driven decision making at all levels of the organisation through report development and insight generation, utilising data from the Defence-electronic Health System and other linked sources. The HIO is responsible for: health data stewardship including applying legislative frameworks and best practice standards relating to data collection, storage, use and security; and governance of the health information domain including the systems for collecting storing, and managing data; and data quality and assurance. The Graphic Designer will produce high quality and engaging graphic design products such as dashboards, reports and placemats.
