Job Title: Customer Service Representative (CSR) Number of Positions: 10 Location: Lithgow Contact Centre Start Date: 24/03/2025 End Date: 19/09/2025 Pay Rate: $36.11 per hour Superannuation Working Hours: Up to 7 hours per day / 35 hours per week About the Role: We are seeking experienced Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) to join our team based in the Lithgow Contact Centre. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team working within the Road Safety 2 lines. The position will involve handling customer inquiries, providing solutions, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The role requires flexibility, as you will work a rotating roster across a 7 am – 7 pm window, Monday to Friday. Successful candidates will be placed on a 2-week rotating shift schedule, meaning you will alternate between different shifts (early, mid, and late) every two weeks. Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers in a professional and timely manner. Answer inbound calls and respond to inquiries related to road safety. Manage customer emails and provide written responses in a clear and effective manner. Follow procedures and maintain a high level of attention to detail. Work with Team Leaders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to resolve complex queries. Essential Skills and Experience: 2-3 years of experience in customer service, whether from a call centre, administrative, or retail background. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working in an office environment is highly desirable. Intermediate computer skills (typing, using a mouse/monitor). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Teams. Technically savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems (specific software will be taught). Desirable: Previous government experience is a plus, though not required. Strong email etiquette and customer service principles. Training and Development: The successful candidates will undergo a comprehensive 12-week training and nesting period. This will involve classroom training followed by hands-on experience working closely with SMEs. After the nesting period, you will be assessed to ensure you are competent to work independently. Work Location: The role is based at the Lithgow Contact Centre. On-Site Requirements: The successful candidates will need to attend the office for training and nesting periods. There may be occasional in-office requirements for meetings or IT support. Work from Home (WFH): While the majority of the role will be on-site, there may be potential for WFH arrangements depending on your performance and business needs. If transitioning to WFH, candidates must have a reliable internet connection and meet the following technical requirements: A minimum internet speed of 5 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload, with latency under 60ms.
