With a reputation for excellence, the clinic is now looking for a dedicated Medical Administrator to join the team on a casual basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. About the Role The Medical Administrator will work alongside another receptionist to provide front-line administrative and reception support to the practice. This role is crucial in maintaining the seamless operation of the clinic, ensuring patients receive exceptional service while supporting the General Surgeon in all administrative aspects. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, patient-focused, and adept at managing a dynamic workload in a fast-paced medical environment. Key Responsibilities Provide a welcoming and professional reception experience for patients and visitors Manage appointment scheduling, ensuring efficient clinic flow Handle patient enquiries with care, confidentiality, and professionalism Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the reception area and consulting rooms Prepare patient correspondence, including printing and mailing referral letters Manage incoming and outgoing communications via phone and email Process invoices, payments, and issue receipts Provide guidance to patients on administrative aspects of their care Coordinate with hospitals, specialists, and referring doctors as required What We Are Looking For Previous experience in a medical administration or receptionist role (specialist clinic experience highly regarded) Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset High level of organisation, attention to detail, and ability to multitask Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism Proficiency in medical practice management software (experience with Gentu preferred) A proactive and adaptable team player with a problem-solving approach Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment How To Apply If you are a highly motivated and organised medical administrator looking to be part of a thriving surgical clinic, we would love to hear from you.
