You will carry with you the qualities of a cadet that is important to Civil Construction to take on responsibilities that will highlight your ability to communicate, prepare scope of works, anticipate site needs and potential risks, while documenting findings and outcomes on the business CRM. Responsibilities could include: Work closely with experienced construction managers to gain a deep understanding of construction processes, project management, safety protocols, and quality control. Assist in coordinating and overseeing construction projects on-site, ensuring that they adhere to schedules, budgets, and quality standards Communicating and negotiating with trades and suppliers Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including blueprints, permits, schedules, and progress reports. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and labourers to ensure project objectives are met. Promote and uphold quality and safety standards on construction sites, proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards. Assist in monitoring project budgets, cost estimation, and resource allocation. Develop problem-solving skills by addressing challenges that arise during construction projects. Engage with clients, subcontractors, and team members to facilitate effective communication and project progress. Preparation of works orders and purchase orders Taking minutes in meetings and following up on action items Ensure all work conforms to legislative and contractual OH&S requirements THE ESSENTIALS Building & Construction qualifications will be highly regarded, Bachelor of Construction Management (Studying towards or completing) or Trade qualified. A willingness to learn & start from the ground up in a fast-moving organisation and team. Eagerness to learn and a passion for the construction industry. Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools is a plus. Willingness to work in various weather conditions and on construction sites. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction-related software. Hold a WHS White Card to certify that you have completed the working safely on construction sites course Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle sudden challenges.
