Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to plan, organize, direct, control, and coordinate the construction of civil engineering projects and buildings. The successful candidate will manage both physical and human resources, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget while adhering to building legislation, quality standards, and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to guide construction processes. Coordinate labor resources, procurement, and delivery of materials, plant, and equipment. Consult with architects, engineering professionals, and other technical staff, as well as trades workers to ensure project success. Negotiate with building owners, property developers, and subcontractors to maintain project timelines and budgets. Prepare tenders and contract bids to secure new projects. Implement and oversee coordinated work programs for construction sites. Ensure compliance with building legislation, safety standards, and quality benchmarks. Submit building plans and relevant documentation to local authorities for approval. Oversee and manage specialized building services by contracting or subcontracting services as needed. Monitor and evaluate the standard and progress of subcontractors’ work. Facilitate building inspections by local authorities and ensure necessary approvals are obtained. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in a relevant field is preferred, or at least 5 years of relevant experience in construction project management may substitute for formal qualifications. Proven experience in managing complex construction projects from inception to completion. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and clients. High attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in project management software and construction-related technologies.
