Reporting to the Director of Workplace Systems, the Senior Engineer will have a lead technical and strategic contribution to the design, enhancement, maintenance, and deployment of a number of critical workplace technologies across the Windows Standard Operating Environment, endpoint security hardening and policy implementation. As a Senior Engineer you will resolve complex technical issues and lead technical implementations, assess new and emerging end user compute technologies, and provide advice to the director and executive team regarding implementation and roadmap strategies. The key duties of the position include Responsibilities of the Executive Level 1 may include: Analyse and resolve complex incidents and problems. Assess new and emerging end user compute technologies and advise on implementation and roadmap strategies. Mentor, motivate and build the capability of junior staff. Work with other senior technical staff to plan, execute and track the team's strategy and roadmap initiatives. Provide timely and accurate advice to the Director, Branch Manager and Group Manager relating to operational and project matters. Manage the technical delivery of projects, complex non-BAU tasks and other time-critical work requests. Build relationships and liaise with support teams and stakeholders in the delivery of projects and problem management. Review and provide advice to ensure that DEWR progresses Essential 8 Maturity Model and cyber security continuous uplift. Write and review technical documentation and options papers, including As Built As Configured, Standard Operating Procedures, Options Papers and Presentations.
