About Northern Health: Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north. Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg. About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to join our General System Design Unit within the Design and Discovery Division. This role sits at the intersection of technology and healthcare operations, where you will combine technical expertise with business acumen to transform complex operational challenges into innovative solutions. As a Solutions Engineer, you will design and implement enterprise-scale solutions using modern technology stacks including Node.js/React, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and Microsoft Power Platform. Working closely with stakeholders across the organization, you will drive technological transformation initiatives from discovery through to delivery. The ideal candidate demonstrates: Proven ability to transform complex business challenges into elegant technical solutions Track record of rapid solution delivery using diverse technology stacks Experience architecting and implementing enterprise-scale integrated systems Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively across all organizational levels Strategic thinking balanced with pragmatic, hands-on implementation expertise Ability to lead technical initiatives while maintaining focus on business outcomes Strong adaptability and learning agility to quickly master new technologies and platforms Experience in agile development environments with emphasis on iterative delivery In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end solution delivery, from initial discovery through to implementation. You will contribute to our unit strategy while maintaining hands-on involvement in development and integration work. This position offers the opportunity to drive technological innovation in healthcare operations while working within an enterprise environment committed to excellence in healthcare delivery. To be successful in this role you will have: Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps and Power Automate Proven full-stack development experience, preferably with Node.js and React Track record of developing and implementing RPA solutions using platforms such as Power Automate, UiPath, or BluePrism Demonstrated understanding of AI/ML concepts and their practical application in healthcare Experience in solution architecture and systems integration Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences Next Steps . . .
