Under our Good Works umbrella, we have many services and programs, including soup vans, education programs, home visitation programs and VincentCare Victoria (VCV), which assists some of Victoria’s most vulnerable communities, such as people experiencing homelessness, the housing crisis, family violence, and the elderly. About the Role: A newly created position, this role will be responsible for providing highly skilled administrative and executive support to the Company Secretary and the General Counsel. As a trusted partner and support to both these senior positions, you will play a key role in managing board and committee governance and provide organisational and administrative support with exceptional detail and discretion to the General Counsel. Key Responsibilities include: Assist to coordinate meetings of Group Boards and Governance committees, including preparation of calendars, agendas and related documents, communication with Directors and Committee Members, and logistical arrangements including catering, parking and travel. Attend meetings of Boards and Governance committees, including accurate minute- taking and circulating/consulting as required. Liaise with key stakeholders including Board Chairs, Committee Members, State Councillors, the Group CEO and Executive. Document support including preparation of templates and Board papers. Assist with document and matter management and legal filing . Assist with document searching, collation and preparation of responses to external document requests. Assist with preparation of internal governance and compliance documents including policies and procedures. Assist with filing, archiving and record keeping generally, including the development of relevant systems, processes and procedures. About You: You are a highly organized and detail-oriented professional ideally with experience in senior governance and administrative and/or paralegal positions. Your excellent written and verbal communication will enable you to prepare high level briefings, reports, minutes and correspondence as required. and your interpersonal skills and alignment to mission and values will enable you to build effective working relationships across the organisation. You are proficient in MS Word and Excel and have the ability to learn new systems quickly. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is considered desirable and any studies or qualifications in governance or paralegal skills would be advantageous in your application. Why work for us?
