They are currently ramping up their Contract Administrator resources to assist with significant contract mobilisation activities set to commence in the new year. As part of this effort, they are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Contract Administrator to join their team in Melbourne on a 3-month temporary basis. This position offers high potential for extension or permanent placement for the right candidate. Job Purpose: This role is critical in supporting the significant contract mobilisation activities happening in the new year. You will assist with onboarding a high volume of subcontractors, including migrating existing subcontractors and onboarding new ones. This is a fast-paced role requiring strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Key Responsibilities: Assist with onboarding a high volume of subcontractors, ensuring all required documentation and compliance checks are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Support the migration of existing subcontractors, including the review and updating of their contract information. Assist with due diligence and compliance steps for seeking necessary approvals. Work closely with the legal, procurement, and project teams to ensure that all subcontractors are onboarded according to company policies and procedures. Populate core information in standard subcontract templates as provided. Conduct an initial review of proposed departures to terms and conditions from subcontractors and route these appropriately for resolution and close-out. Manage contract lifecycle from initiation to completion, including amendments, renewals, and terminations. Track and monitor contract performance, addressing any issues as they arise. Maintain contract records, ensuring all subcontractor documentation is properly archived and accessible. Provide regular status updates and reports to management regarding contract mobilisation progress. Assist with resolving any disputes or conflicts related to subcontractor agreements. Stay up to date with relevant legal and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance. Qualifications and Skills: Strong focus on commercial negotiation of terms and conditions, or a legal background/experience. Experience in commercial subcontractor onboarding with familiarity and practical knowledge of subcontracts is a prerequisite. Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to handle large volumes of contracts and data accurately. Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with both internal stakeholders and subcontractors, communicating articulately and professionally. Must be comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) as well as Adobe Sign for contract management. Basic understanding of contract law and commercial negotiation techniques.
