Opportunity: We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our team and help us monitor our current operations to ensure our organization is as efficient as possible. The chosen candidate will be joining the team on Dandenong South 3175 in the state of Victoria / Australia. Role & Responsibilities: As an Industrial Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring products meet established quality standards and reduce inefficiency, analysing operations and designing workflows and production processes to reduce wastes along the way while still meeting customer needs. Ultimately, you will collaborate with organisational leaders and other Engineers to maximize productivity and reduce wastefulness in the production process. The main tasks are, but not limited to: Analysing workforce efficiency, facility layout, operational data, machinery, and production schedules to optimize productivity of both workers and equipment. Reporting/Presenting reports on Production data to Management. Managing labour and coordinating the procurement and delivery of materials, machinery, and equipment. Working closely with manufacturing and quality departments for product processing & testings, sample making & submissions, investigating customer complaints & subsequent corrective/preventive actions, Internal audits, Incoming and final inspections, preparing & updating packaging instruction and creating & updating SOPs. Attending and making sure the measuring devices are calibrated. Working closely with maintenance department for designing process equipment, tooling, and accessories for manufacturing processes as well as planning & system construction for plant development. Designing & implementing production processes & systems with view to improve overall efficiency & quality. Developing manufacturing specifications and determining materials, equipment, process/material flows, capacities, and plant layout. Establishing standards and protocols for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance, ensuring the adherence to engineering principles and safety regulations. Conducting inspections to maintain optimal performance levels. Developing and implementing work measurement programs to set labour standards. Developing & implementing production cost reduction strategies using latest manufacturing management techniques. Training & supervising production staff on new/changed processes and procedures. Working with quality department for Creating and updating quality system documents that includes development of sample assessment & submission documents. Working with accounts & finance departments in connection with accounting system. Education, Knowledge & Skill requirements Bachelor in an Engineering or co-related fields. At least 2 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer or co-related roles. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in plastic extrusion. Knowledge of 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks) & competency of working in office package and google sheets. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems e.g. ISO9001. Ability to work with ERP systems specially Epicor in view to use Engineering knowledge. Competent level knowledge of process improvement techniques and tools such as Six Sigma, LEAN or KAIZEN etc. Self-starter with strong organisation and time management skills. Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings, scope, quality standards and contractual documents. Problem-solving skills, able to develop and evaluate alternative options and implement solutions. Working Arrangement: Position: Full-time & Permanent. Working days: From Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm. Working hours: 38 hours/week. Salary: range from $75,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation, based on the experience.
