Allcraft Trading Pty Ltd The role of the Civil Engineer - Rebar Scheduler is being responsible for identifying all reinforced steel bars, accessories and manufacturing materials needed for specific projects. This role plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of estimating and scheduling processes for various projects. Requirements; Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering and rebar scheduling Familiarity with engineering plans, quantity take-offs, and project estimation techniques. Exceptional attention to detail when interpreting engineering plans and estimating project component as well as the ability to work collaboratively with project teams Proficient with estimating software, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate Strong analytical skills to address adjustments, changes, and unexpected challenges. Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and priorities Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to provide excellent service and support to clients. Roles and Responsibilities: Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely estimates and quantity take-offs for construction projects, from industrial, commercial and residential engineering plans to determine the required reinforced steel bars and related construction materials. This includes waffle pod and raft slabs, small to large culverts and pits, small to medium commercial buildings, carparks and multi-story buildings. Calculating material quantities and market price changes to accurately estimate project costs. Plans, designs, organises and oversees the construction and operation of civil engineering projects including; dams, bridges, pipelines, gas and water supply schemes, sewerage systems, and airports. Determining construction methods, materials and quality standards, and drafting and interpreting specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures. Organising and directing the delivery of construction materials, plant and equipment, and establishing detailed programs for the coordination of site activities Studying architectural and engineering drawings and specifications to estimate total costs, and preparing detailed cost plans and estimates ads tools to assist in budgetary control Monitoring changes to designs, assessing effects on cost, and measuring, valuing and negotiating variations to designs. Analysing structural systems for both static and dynamic loads Designing structures to ensure they do not collapse, bend, twist or vibrate in undesirable ways. Create and maintain rebar schedules for projects Creating construction schedules: Create schedules that outline the installation and fabrication of rebar within a construction project. Involves working with architects, engineers, and construction managers to understand project timelines and deadlines, and developing a detailed schedule that outlines the work that needs to be done at each stage of the project. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop construction schedules and ensure project success, addressing any adjustments or changes needed during ongoing projects or orders Review project plans and specifications to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with project requirements Project management: Responsible for managing the project team, including overseeing the work of contractors, engineers, and other professionals. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget Communication: Communicates regularly with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Provide project updates and address concerns and issues that arise during the project.
