We are looking for a Structural Engineer to join the Construction Engineering team in the Brisbane office The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in structural engineering, either in construction engineering, mining/heavy industrial or commercial construction. Previous exposure to major developments in a multi-disciplinary team is desired. Your Main Responsibilities Apply a deep understanding of engineering principles to current projects Use knowledge and initiative to devise and implement new approaches to complex engineering problems Contributes to project planning and ensures projects are delivered within program and budget Produce designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports, and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity under the guidance of senior staff Liaise and coordinate with builders, architects, and services engineers on design issues Ensure compliance with applicable Codes and policies – e.g., WHS practices and Quality Assurance Developing the ability to plan and manage resources for small projects or sections of larger projects including taking responsibility for results and outcomes and adherence to project schedules/timelines About You An Australian tertiary engineering qualification or equivalent; Strong structural background with experience in a similar role working on infrastructure or building projects; Experience in undertaking site inspections and liaising with site staff; Understanding of formwork and scaffolding system and equipment installation is desired; Experience in preparing preliminary and detailed designs, specifications and other documentation for structural engineering project work; The ability to communicate well with senior management, authorities and clients; The ability to manage the workload of multiple projects; Experience in using analysis software.
