Description Casual Duty Manager - Clocktower Centre Reference number: 10527 Closing date: 11:00pm, 28 February 2025 Casual position. Salary of $50.57 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience. Band SE-2. The Opportunity Are you passionate about the arts and customer service? Do you have experience in managing events and leading teams? The Moonee Valley City Council is looking for Casual Duty Managers to join the Clocktower Centre team. You will oversee Front of House operations for performances, events, and functions, ensuring exceptional customer service for patrons, hirers, and users of the Centre. Your role will involve liaising with event hirers, managing staff, and ensuring the venue runs smoothly for all events, all while upholding safety and operational standards. Key Responsibilities Lead the Front of House team, ensuring exceptional customer service is provided. Supervise and coordinate Front of House, Box Office, Catering, and Technical staff during events. Communicate clearly with patrons, hirers, and team members to ensure smooth operations. Ensure safety protocols, including emergency evacuation procedures, are followed. Ensure that venue equipment is set-up, used and packed down as per Clocktower Centre safe working policies and procedures. Manage venue operations, including equipment setup, merchandise sales, and first aid. Ensure that all relevant reports are completed, including Daily Event Report, Costing Report, and Incident Reports. Skills & Experience The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in a customer service role, preferably within the performing arts or events industry. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively. Experience in a customer-facing role, especially in managing events and understanding the needs of patrons and hirers, will be highly valued. Applicants should be able to manage competing priorities, remain calm under pressure, and communicate effectively with a wide range of people. A First Aid qualification and Working with Children or Responsible Service of Alcohol certifications are essential. A chief fire warden qualification is also desirable.
