Our Lady of the Way, Emu Plains is seeking a passionate, innovative, and skilled teacher who is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of our learning support students. We are looking for someone who possesses the necessary qualifications and understanding to effectively teach students with diverse needs while demonstrating compassion. This is a temporary part-time position for two days a week (days are flexible) and the successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative team environment and actively contribute to our school Community. Key Responsibilities: We are seeking a candidate who meets the following criteria: Possesses extensive pedagogical knowledge and understands the learning process for the relevant subject areas. They should also be aware of factors that influence students' learning opportunities and be capable of enhancing the learning and teaching experience. Demonstrates the ability to differentiate instruction to cater to diverse student needs and maximise their learning outcomes. Shows a solid understanding of learning environments, lesson planning, technology integration, and effective teaching practices. Exhibits a commitment to continuously improve their teaching practice and actively engage in personal professional development opportunities. Displays initiative and passion, actively collaborating with and supporting fellow staff members to promote inclusive learning and participation. Has the ability to motivate students, fostering a lifelong love for learning and supporting their achievements. The successful candidate should also possess the following skills and/or experience: Holds current qualifications that are appropriate for teaching students with diverse needs. Demonstrates understanding of the Australian Curriculum, including Life Skills outcomes. Has expertise in managing and understanding students with various needs. Can effectively differentiate the curriculum to meet the individual requirements of students with diverse needs. Exhibits strong literacy and numeracy skills. Possesses knowledge and skills in developing Personalised Plans and tracking individualised student goals. Shows proficiency in IT skills and a good understanding of accessibility features across different platforms. Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills to effectively manage students with diverse needs. Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate within a job share and team environment. What's on offer?
