We have an exciting opportunity for you where you will be managing the operations of KTrans Linehaul and Local PUD operations. As the Container Cartage & Warehouse Manager you will be accountable for: • Management of frontline administrative tasks for wharf and rail activities. • Ensuring accurate scheduling and coordination of container deliveries. • Maintaining up-to-date records in Freight Tracker and other booking systems. • Delivering clear, effective communication to business partners and resolving any operational issues. • Align with the KTrans 5 Pillars – Discipline, Loyalty, Accountability, Honesty and Pride. • Ensure zero at fault detention charges for all container movements • Maintain accurate warehouse stock control systems • Team development and ongoing training • Team resourcing needs across warehouse, transport and operations • Productivity management of driver hours, load optimisation, and efficiency of scheduling • Customer relationship management and development • Incident investigation and management • Customer communication for any escalations. • Ensuring safe operation to reduce risk of damage during transport or handling of freight Key requirements: • Transport and Logistics degree qualified • >10yrs Managing similar operations (transport and warehouse) • Proven history of working in the ports and rail logistics industry • Excellent financial acumen • Excellent attention to detail skills • Thorough understanding of risks and controls within the transport & warehouse industry • Strong import and export industry networks • Thorough understanding of transport models and geographies • Strong demonstratable analytical skills • Strong people management skills
