Growth of our services in our Sydney region has created casual Disability Support Worker opportunities in our Community & Residential Services. Community Services Our Community services team are located in both South-West Sydney (Campbelltown and Oran Park) and South-East Sydney (Miranda) and are looking for vibrant individuals who have a passion for engaging in a range of activities with our participants including arts & crafts, sporting activities, cooking programs, school leaver employment supports as well as after school vacation care. These shifts will be on a casual basis and run primarily in the afternoons to late evening with shifts varying between 2 to 6 hours during the school term. Vacation care runs during the school holidays between 9am to 4pm. Residential Services Our Residential services operate across 13 homes within the Sydney region. We are currently hiring casual Support Workers to work across both South-West Sydney (Bass Hill, Blair Athol, Chester Hill, Claymore, Kentlyn, Mt Annan and Ruse) as well as South-East Sydney (Miranda, Barden Ridge, Caringbah, Gymea, Peakhurst). We are seeking those who have availability to work a variety of shifts over a 24/7 roster working across morning, afternoon, nights with shift work. active nights and sleepovers included. About the Role: We are looking for passionate and highly motivated Disability Support Workers to add value to our team. You will assist people with a range of daily living tasks to meet the individual needs and goals of our participants. This involves: Delivering personal care including showering, toileting, and dressing Preparing and assisting with meal preparation and eating Administering medication and offering mobility assistance Supporting participants with attendance at appointments and community-based events Offering meaningful and active support to enable participants to achieve their goals About You: Genuine desire to provide person-centred care for people with disability Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven computer skills Initiative and drive to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Flexible availability and willingness to work across the South-East Sydney region Ideally, you will bring a wealth of knowledge and/or experience in a similar role Have or a willingness to obtain NDIS Worker Check, and Working With Children Check Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle Why you will love working for us: We value the incredible work that our employees do and recognise this by providing a variety of benefits: Casual hourly pay rate starting from $41.76 - $45.58 depending on relevant experience and qualifications You will have access to paid onboarding training starting early March , lasting for two weeks Access to generous not-for-profit salary packaging options (up to $15,900 per annum) Access to Fitness Passport , discounted unlimited access to multiple gyms and pools Opportunity for variety of shifts and access to ongoing professional development Support to obtain and maintain your First Aid qualification.
