Reporting to the Chief Risk & Legal Officer, the Legal Counsel will assist with Contract Management, Privacy and Compliance. About the role: The role is part-time with equivalent of 3 days per week. Flexible work arrangement and working hours Draft, review, negotiate and interpret a variety of contracts – SAAS agreements with customers and financial institution business partners, NDA’s, referral partner agreements and vendor contracts Collaborate with IT Security teams to provide advice on Privacy and Data security matters and policies. Offer comprehensive legal support for global and local business needs – eg for new projects, business initiatives and market expansions. Assist with corporate governance matters ensuring compliance with relevant laws, ethical standards and internal policies About you: Qualified lawyer in Australia. Minimum 5 years' experience in Corporate / Commercial law with Compliance and Privacy experience. Able to provide commercially focused advice and support to a range of stakeholders. Confident, able to develop relationships at all levels of the company whilst working with limited supervision. Fintech experience is highly desirable. Based in Melbourne or Sydney.
