About the role This is a hands-on role where you will support the team in day-to-day operations whilst growing the business in line with organisational goals. We are committed to humane food choices and quality service at the RSPCA Qld's Black Cat Café Monday-Friday roster available. Café Opening Hours 7:30am-3:30pm. Daily interactions with animals available for adoption. The heart of the adoption hub at Wacol Animal Care Campus. Manage feedback, performance reviews, and staffing needs, including recruitment, coaching, and training. Lead day-to-day operations, events, and meetings while setting goals and budgets. Analyse sales data, adjust pricing, and oversee stock levels and loss prevention. Cultivate relationships with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders to enhance loyalty and reputation. Ensure compliance with food safety, WHS laws, and company policies, maintaining high cleanliness standards. Maintain equipment and develop menus to uphold quality and standards. Resolve customer complaints promptly and implement marketing strategies, including social media and seasonal menu updates. About you You'll be an energetic leader with great communication skills for this inclusive team. If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications may also include: Food Safety Supervisor Certificate. Responsible Service of Alcohol. 5 years of hospitality management experience. Outstanding communication and demonstrated leadership ability. Knowledge of food safety, WHS laws, and people practices. Demonstrated hands on operational experience with the ability to hit the ground running. Flexibility to work early mornings, late finishes and regular weekend and public holiday work when required. Genuine interest in animal welfare and the objectives of RSPCA. Ability to perform physical duties including manual handling, and an ability to handle a minimum weight of 10 kilos. We are open to candidates who may not have industry experience but may have a transferable skill set. This is a full time, permanent position based at our Wacol Animal Care Campus.
