Description Key responsibilities Reporting to the Trade Market Manager, this role involves hands-on sales and customer service, plant consultation, scanning stock, processing payments and liaising with greenlife suppliers. Additional tasks include general nursery duties such as weeding, watering, merchandising, grounds maintenance and using nursery tools and equipment. As required, this position will also expand to provide support to the Trade Market Manager with employee supervision, task delegation, monitoring of standards and driving sales and service procedures. The position is full time, working a five-day roster Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday as per business requirements. Skills And Experiences Essential attributes To be successful in this role, you will have: Passion for plants with a knowledge of Botanical plant identification and/or horticulture experience highly desirable. High level customer service skills with a proactive approach to solving queries. Leadership experience with a genuine drive to sell and proactively engage with customers. High level communication and organisational skills. Confident computer ability and experience of point of sale tasks. Ability to follow procedures and effectively work independently as well as in a team. Applicants must also be capable of performing regular heavy lifting tasks and be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Why join our team?
