About the role In this role, you will contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of a range of administration services and events hosted at the Geelong Arena. Work type: Temporary Full Time Classification: Band 4 $69,560.51 - $74,316.04 pa plus super Key responsibilities include: Administration, catering, box office sales and customer service functions. Promote and implement Council’s policy of Excellence in Customer Service by providing a friendly and efficient receptionist service to customers and guests to the Geelong Arena. Attend to all enquiries, both internal and external, in a positive, professional and timely manner. Efficient completion of administrative and reception functions inclusive and not limited to: bank reconciliation, accounts payable, petty cash, event invoicing and preferred supplier processing. Develop and maintain sound administration systems and procedures and provide support to Arena staff. Provide assistance to the Venue Manager in the efficient and effective conduct of the day to day administration operations of the venue. About you To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in administration functions including financial reporting, facility bookings, point of sale and stock management. Essential Experience: Extensive cash handling experience. Well-developed IT and computer skills (MS office) including word processing and spreadsheet software. Excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to effectively plan use of own time in achieving objectives. Demonstrated experience with event ticketing, hirer liaison and marketing.
