About the role Our client is looking for a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure. You will work within a dynamic team to support the organisation’s cloud transformation journey, ensuring security, scalability, and performance in a mission-critical healthcare environment. Day to day duties include: Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure. Implement best practices for cloud security, compliance, and governance. Develop automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure as code (IaC). Monitor and optimise cloud resources to ensure high availability and cost efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing systems. Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues and incidents. Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or in a similar cloud engineering role. Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Azure AD, Virtual Machines, Networking, and Storage. Hands-on experience with Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep for infrastructure automation. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python. Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and identity management. Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Experience in a healthcare or regulated environment is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
