Junior Design Development Manager - Well-known Global Womenswear Fashion Brand - Up to $100k super - 5 days in office The Role: In this role you will be responsible for the on-time execution of each season from sampling through to complete handover to production. You will ensure the Womenswear collections are developed in line with the creative vision of the Creative Director, as well as managing the sourcing and development of fabrics and trims under direction of the Design Room Manager. Key Responsibilities: Sample Management: Oversee and manage alterations to sample collections for distribution to sales and press agents, ensuring samples meet Zimmermann quality standards before dispatch. Fabric & Trim: Maintain and archive sourced materials, fabrics, and trims. Manage new seasonal sourcing, create seasonal fabric headers, and prepare the trim & fabric folder for handover to the Production team. Assist with Production approvals for fabric and trim as required. Range Review: Monitor SMS arrival and update the Design Room Manager on sample status. Maintain seasonal style list information in PLM for Retail and Wholesale use across all categories. Take detailed notes at range review meetings and input updates into PLM. Skills: Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, finishings, print and embroidery techniques. Understanding of garment construction and pattern making. Ability to train junior team members. Adherence to critical path key dates. WHS: Active participation in developing a safe and healthy workplace. Adherence to safe work procedures. Cooperation with management regarding legislative obligations. Prompt reporting of any injury, hazard, or illness. Commitment to not placing others at risk. Respect for and proper use of safety equipment. Required Experience: Studies in Fashion and/or Textiles and preferably have at least 3 year's work experience in a Fashion Business. Knowledgable in fabrics & trims and a keen interest in fashion. Be able to combine both creative and technical skills. Ability to work to tight deadlines.
