We proudly own the world’s largest fleet of the powerful Bell 214B, a single-engine, twin-bladed helicopter. Our services include Aerial Fire Fighting, Emergency Assistance, Charter, and Helicopter Lifting, supporting critical operations across the globe. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and reliable Fabricator/Driver to join our dynamic team. This role is essential to supporting the efficient operation of our airbase and aircraft, ensuring the highest standards of ground support. Key Responsibilities • Provide safe and reliable ground support to our aircraft, including delivering and loading substances for various operations. • Mix and load both liquid and solid substances into aircraft for specific activities. • Transfer and ensure the quality of fuel through thorough checking. • Inspect rigging and equipment to ensure they meet safety and operational standards. • Conduct day-to-day maintenance of the airbase, aircraft, and vehicles. • Maintain the shed and yard area for smooth and efficient operations. • Follow safe practices and adhere to WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) requirements at all times. • Comply with McDermott Aviation’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies. • Operate metalworking tools and equipment, including plasma cutters, welding machines, and bending/forming tools. Qualifications & Skills • Secondary qualification or equivalent. • Current Driver’s License with a clean driving record. • Heavy Vehicle Driver’s License. • Bulk Dangerous Goods Driver’s License preferred • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as an aluminium fabricator. • Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welding. Desirable Experience • Previous experience in fueling, ramp services, or within the aviation industry (preferred but not required). • Experience operating heavy vehicles or driving trucks.
