Position Overview As the Medical Clinic Receptionist, you will be the face of our clinic, responsible for greeting patients, visitors, and callers with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor. Your role will involve a variety of administrative tasks, including appointment bookings, answering calls, handling patient billing, and maintaining confidentiality. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic, and we are looking for someone with excellent communication and organizational skills to complement our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities Greet patients, visitors, and callers with a friendly and professional attitude. Answer phone calls promptly, schedule appointments, and direct inquiries as needed. Handle patient billing, including raising accounts and receipting payments. Maintain patient records and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence. Ensure all administrative tasks are completed in line with Kerang District Health’s policies and procedures. Collaborate effectively with clinic staff, including GPs and allied health professionals. Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations at all times. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to infection control and occupational health and safety protocols. Key Selection Criteria Essential Requirements Previous experience in a similar role. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong computer skills and proficiency in administrative tasks. Ability to work efficiently and remain calm under pressure. Current National Police Check. The right to work in Australia. Desirable Requirements Qualification in administration or equivalent. Experience with Best Practice Medical Software Program. Knowledge of pharmaceuticals. Why Join Us?
