The Role We are looking for a Fashion Design Educator for a teaching and mentoring position within our Australian School of the Arts Fashion Design Course at Sheldon College. This bespoke position includes the ongoing design and implementation of the co-curricular Fashion Design program and its subsequent units, which is a portfolio-based program for students in Years 9–12. The role requires supervision, training, educating, and mentoring of selected students in the Fashion Design processes, including fabrication processes. Opportunity to continue to build and develop the various curriculum and training modules within the program exists to align with the skillset of the students, trends within industry and areas of interest and expertise. This is a casual role, approx roster is 10 Hours a week, working Tues, Wed, Fri afternoons. Term Time with additional hours for performance and rehearsal for events. Why work at Sheldon College? Minimum 12 months experience working in a relevant field; Experience in design and construction; Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills; Experience or an interest in working with students and staff in a school environment; Well-developed organisational skills; Experience in Costume design and construction; Highly competent sewing skills Desirable Experience working with School aged students; Experience working within a School drama and/or dance productions.
