Legal and Client Support Officer – Tamworth • Temporary Full-Time position up to 12 months • Clerk Grade 3/4 starting from $82,193 plus super and annual leave loading • Tamworth NSW Location About us Legal Aid NSW helps people with their legal problems. We can help people with most areas criminal law, family law and every day civil law legal issues. We give legal advice, help at court and do family dispute resolution. We can do this over the telephone or at one of our 28 offices. About the role The Legal & Client Support Officer plays a crucial role at Legal Aid NSW by providing administrative and clerical support to both legal staff and clients. In this role, you will be the initial point of contact for clients seeking assistance with their legal matters, ensuring they receive accurate, timely, and consistent information. You will assist clients with complex legal and non-legal issues, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency while reducing the likelihood of escalation. Your responsibilities will include managing data within Legal Aid NSW systems, offering professional reception and switchboard services, and working as part of a team to deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. About you We are looking for an organised and proactive individual with excellent communication skills, who thrives in a dynamic, high-volume environment. You can demonstrate that you can manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail to deliver high-quality customer service. You are empathetic and able to manage complex client behaviours, ensuring that each client receives the right support in a timely manner. Your ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the effective operation of the office is essential. A background in administrative support or client services will be highly regarded.
