The Gig Due to continued growth and ongoing projects, an exciting opportunity has opened for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Civil Design Engineer to join the team and support the expansion of the Civil Division. Focused on quality, you’ll be responsible for delivering precise civil and geometric designs for urban road infrastructure and industrial subdivision developments across Sydney. This is your chance to work on a range of diverse and impactful projects that truly make a difference. You’ll take on a key role, delivering design and management services to trusted clients, applying your expertise to create innovative solutions. Based in Sydney’s Northwest, and reporting to a Principal Designer you’ll ply your trade, and be trusted with: Leading civil infrastructure design, including roads, drainage, and utilities, across multiple projects. Modelling designs with 12D, AutoCAD, and XP Rafts to ensure technical accuracy and precision. Delivering technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle to maintain quality and compliance. Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to ensure designs align with project requirements and needs. Mentoring junior engineers, guiding them through design tasks and supporting their professional development. Managing project timelines, ensuring on-time delivery while adhering to budgets and project goals. Addressing design challenges with innovative, practical solutions to keep projects on track. Ensuring all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices. Overseeing the production of detailed, high-quality project drawings to meet specifications. Promoting continuous improvement through best practices and enhancing team efficiency. What’s In Your Toolbox? Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering 6 years’ experience in civil design for land development Proficient in 12D/Civil 3D, DRAINS, TUFLOW, MUSIC, and AutoCAD Strong understanding of hydrological and hydraulic design principles Proven experience in preparing road, lot, and drainage strategies Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail skills You bring strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills, driving civil design projects forward. With a focus on precision, you efficiently manage design tasks and timelines. Your collaborative approach and expertise will shape outcomes, while mentoring will foster team growth and success.
