The Role: Our Client is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join their dynamic Payroll team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the payroll function, ensuring smooth pre-payroll activities, addressing payroll queries, and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Support Pre-Payroll Activities: Assist with administrative tasks for both fortnightly and monthly pay cycles to ensure smooth payroll processing. Answer Payroll Queries: Act as a first point of contact for level 1 payroll queries, providing helpful and clear guidance on payroll-related issues. Coordinate Employee Benefits: Assist with the coordination and implementation of employee benefits, ensuring timely and accurate administration. Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with key legislative changes and support ongoing improvement within the payroll team. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across People & Culture, Finance, Tax, and external vendors, offering exceptional customer service. What We're Looking For: Essential Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a payroll or administrative role, preferably in a large, fast-paced environment with over 1000 employees Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle diverse payroll queries and provide clear, accurate information. Team-Oriented: A positive, flexible attitude with a strong ability to work as part of a team. Time Management: Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality. Problem-Solving: Strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. Desirable Experience: Familiarity with payroll systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Workday would be a bonus Must have full working rights to work permanently in Australia.
