The Role The Shift Electrician will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of production equipment, troubleshooting electrical issues, and conducting preventative maintenance. Reporting to the Site Electrical Supervisor, this role is critical in maintaining the efficiency and safety of the site. Key Responsibilities: Provide maximum machine availability and reliability through prompt repair of breakdowns and completion of preventative and predictive maintenance tasks (Mainpac system). Ensure safe operating performance of machinery and adherence to OH&S standards. Document components used for reordering. Train apprentices on the job. Maintain company quality standards and demonstrate professionalism. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Comply with all company policies and procedures. Skills & Experience Class “A” Electrician’s Licence. Experience with PLC and SCADA systems (Siemens and Citect preferred). Strong fault diagnosis and problem-solving skills. Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. OH&S knowledge and high-volume manufacturing experience.
