What can you expect as a Senior Research Engineer at 4DMedical? As a Senior Research Engineer you will work in our tight-knit Research Team to investigate, experiment, and evaluate new image processing techniques. You will be responsible for designing the underlying methods used in our novel lung motion investigation software, which are turned into commercial software products by our Software Team. We seek to hire people with a variety of different skillsets, so while your ability to work under your own steam is important, we more strongly value your ability to share your knowledge with the rest of the team, thereby ensuring an environment in which all team members grow and develop together. As a more senior member of the team, junior members will look to you for assistance in defining and testing hypotheses. Who are you? You’ll embrace our goal of developing leading technologies to provide better health outcomes to patients. We are looking for people from a range of backgrounds including engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science and data analysis, who can bring their unique skillsets to our lung imaging technologies. We expect that you’ll have a postgraduate degree in engineering research or science, with 3 years of additional experience (postdoc, industry, PhD 2 years or Masters 4years ) in a field that can be applied to image processing and image research. You’ll be a highly capable programmer, with the ability to translate research ideas into prototypes to be tested scientifically. If you have experience in image reconstruction techniques and X-ray imaging that’s great, and if not, we are happy to bring you up to speed. Experience in or an understanding of lung physiology or biomechanics would be highly advantageous. People of all ages, genders, and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
