To date, Aqualyng has developed more than 144 water projects globally comprising water production, wastewater treatment, operation and maintenance services, industrial applications, technology solutions, and chemical supply We're looking for a standout PROPOSAL ENGINEER We are seeking an experienced Proposal Engineer to support our commercial team in the preparation of proposals for mid-sized industrial water treatment projects. Based in Brisbane, this role involves remote collaboration with our Australian team, requiring strong technical expertise and experience in proposals preparation for international projects, particularly in the APAC region. The role of the Proposal Engineer is to provide technical engineering input and design into projects and opportunities being pursued. You will be based primarily at Aqualyng ICES in Brisbane, QLD, however you may be required to work at other locations as per operational or business needs dictate. The role will require travel from time to time as required. Main Duties and Key Responsibilities : Assist in preparing proposals for mid-sized EP/C industrial water treatment projects, including technical descriptions, method statements, and cost estimates (Bill of Quantities). Perform hydraulic calculations, equipment selection, and process design, ensuring compliance with business requirements and tender specifications. Develop and review process simulations, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), design reports, specifications, and presentations. Support technical proposals by providing process-related content such as design descriptions and data sheets. Lead and coordinate the development of plant layouts and modifications for new and existing facilities. Serve as the focal point for coordinating technical support between Almar's Engineering team and Aqualyng's projects and opportunities. Collaborate daily with international teams, particularly in Australia and the APAC region. Any further duties as requested and assigned. Key Requirements Applicants must have a minimum of five years of experience in preparing proposals for industrial water projects. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Chemistry (BSc), or a related technical field is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate: Proficiency with water and wastewater treatment processes such as Filtration systems, Lamella, DAF, UF, RO, EDI, Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) and to Conventional Activated Sludge (CAS) for industrial applications in power generation, O&G, F&B and mining sectors. A self-motivated, committed, and reliable approach, with the flexibility to adapt to changing demands and a strong team-oriented mindset. Outstanding organisational skills, with keen attention to detail A strong awareness of resource capacity and utilisation, ensuring optimal project execution. Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate others while maintaining accountability. Excellent time management and planning abilities, with the capacity to effectively organise their own schedule. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
