With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hour’s drive from the CBD, Melbourne’s North is fast becoming the place to be    The Role: Multiple opportunities exist for empathetic, compassionate Administrative Officers (Ward Clerk) to join our friendly team at Ward 8, Northern Psychiatric Unit 2, at Northern Health. This role is responsible for welcoming consumers and their families to our unit as they arrive to the front of the ward. It also includes performing administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the unit, support the multidisciplinary team and contribute to the overall operations of Northern Area Mental Health Service and will be based at the Ward 8 Mental Health Inpatient Unit at Northern Hospital, Epping. There are 2 ongoing part time roles available (1 x 0.6 role - 3 days per week, 1 x 0.8 role - 4 days per week) however full time will be considered for the right candidate. To be successful in this role you will have: Highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills Concise written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to communicate confidently in matters relating to Health Information to a wide range of stakeholders Relevant clerical experience and administrative skills Demonstrated ability to use data bases such as iPM & CMI Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage deadlines Able to work in a busy environment and under pressure Ability to engage with people diverse backgrounds, including consumers, families/carers, staff and external stakeholders Next Steps . . .
