Liaising between the Client and Senior Site Engineers, you’ll oversee and provide structural engineering support to structural maintenance crews and engineering departments. This will include expert advice on site inspection and repair procedures & processes to the Site Engineering Department, Managers & site based engineers. About You Brisbane: More design office focussed with FEA modelling, bulk materials handling design exp. with periodic site visits. Mackay: These roles are site based and combine both site and some design office responisibilities. You must be fit, energetic and keen to be actively involved in site based inspections as well as office based engineering. Depending on whether at a mine or port, typical structures may include shiploaders, stackers/reclaimers & dump stations as well as large conveyors, transfer towers, surge bins & bridges. The key prerequisites are: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (RPEQ or CPEng required) Structural steel & concrete design and inspection exp. Provide expert advice to site engineering & maintenance teams Exp. with hands-on-site inspection work & construction supervision Inspection of heavy structures and large materials handling machines Solid knowledge of steel, concrete, wind & materials handling codes Strong report writing, verbal and interpersonal skills Strong work ethic and commitment to safety A positive & proactive attitude / Hold a current driver's licence An attractive salary package (PLUS paid overtime) will be negotiated depending on your experience.
