Administration Assistant — Beechworth, Indigo Area

About the Centre/Service Beechworth Kindergarten is a small, independent, volunteer-committee lead service that has offered sessional kindergarten programs for 3 and 4 year olds in Beechworth and the surrounding region for almost 60 years. Description Overview: A newly created role for our service in 2025, the administration assistant’s primary responsibility will be to facilitate and support both the teaching team and committee of management in tasks related to the daily operation of Beechworth Kindergarten. These task include, however are not limited to: - Overseeing and managing the central kinder email/inbox - Responding to general enquiries on behalf of the service - Engaging with third parties where necessary/requested, e.g. Indigo Shire Council, The Department of Education, NQA, Funded Agency Channel, ELAA, accountant, etc. - Updating the KIMS/Arrival system - Updating NQAITS - Updating ACNC - Preparing and distributing policy updates - Preparing and maintaining training and safety schedules - Supporting the teaching team with specific tasks, as requested, e.g. preparing funding applications, liaising with key workers around scheduling meetings and documentation requirements, managing/updating the QIP - Preparing newsletters, event invites, etc. - Providing support with recruitment, e.g. PD preparation, draft contracts - Managing the service’s social media accounts - Managing relief staff - Participating in meetings, e.g. planning, taking minutes, etc. Location: Beechworth Kindergarten Qualifications Qualification in Business and/or Education would be valuable. Prior experience in the Early Years sector highly regarded.
