Digital Urban Designer / 3D Visualiser | 4 Month Contract $45.93 - $52.50 p/h super 4 Month Contract Bankstown This position focuses on coordinating and maintaining the digital 3D model while providing expert 3D modeling support to the Urban Design Team and the Strategy and Design Unit. The role also involves preparing and coordinating visually engaging illustrations, maps, 3D visualizations, and GIS analyses to support strategic projects. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and maintain the digital 3D model, ensuring data is up-to-date and accurate. Prepare and/or coordinate GIS analyses to support strategic projects. Aid visual communication and presentations using tools such as Terra Explorer, Autodesk 3D Max, Giraffe, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Google SketchUp (or other relevant software). Research and analyse 3D model data and trends to ensure cutting-edge deliverables. Liaise with developers and architects to ensure digital 3D models of proposed developments are submitted as part of the Development Application process. Develop technical manuals, procedures, user training, and demonstrations to support various stakeholders. Provide advice on urban design issues related to development applications, planning proposals, and precinct plans. Work collaboratively with internal teams, external consultants, and community members to achieve shared outcomes. Maintain a high level of customer service and community satisfaction. Prepare and coordinate procurement, project briefs, program timelines, and contract documentation for external consultants. Attend after-hours events and meetings as required. About You: Minimum 4 years’ experience in 3D digital model, 3D digital visualisation and urban design. Proficiency in 3D, GIS and digital drafting (Terra Explorer, Autodesk 3D Max, Giraffe, Sketchup, AutoCAD, ArcGIS and/or equivalent), Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite. Demonstrated experience in preparing urban design referrals, master plans, guidelines, manuals, etc. Ability to develop sophisticated design solutions for urban design projects. Proven organisational skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to prioritise own workload and to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, meeting completing deadlines and delivering high-quality outcomes. Ability to visually communicate and test ideas using 3D modelling Adept project management skills including procurement, project briefs, program, budget and managing consultants.
