Our client with Work & Training has a range of projects including the construction & landscaping of new parks, Council reserves, playgrounds & school outdoor recreational spaces. They also install and maintain play ground equipment. If you are keen and highly motivated, with a solid work ethic, the ability to learn on the job and capable of following instructions & procedures, then read on What can you gain from completing an apprenticeship through Work & Training? You would be employed by Work & Training and hosted to our client for the duration of your apprenticeship. This is a four year apprenticeship - working full time. Full entitlements including four weeks of paid annual leave per year. You would be part of a committed team and under the guidance of your supervisor. Theory training conducted off-site. Your Work & Training Apprenticeship Employment Consultant provides ongoing mentoring and employment support. On completion of your apprenticeship, you would receive a nationally recognised Certificate III in Landscape Construction – AHC30921 Learn how to: Liaise with clients in design, layout and materials to compliment desired outcomes. Install structures such as retaining walls, outdoor undercover areas and playground equipment. Improve soil quality, lawn areas and garden beds. Prepare drainage outputs, install basic pipework and water system connections. Create pathways, including paving, stones, aggregate and wooden boardwalks. Essential Criteria: Hold a current drivers licence and have a reliable vehicle. Have a White Card. Have the ability to pass a pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing.
