About the role Miami Lane is a short-term accommodation Disability Support Service in Clarkson offering respite care. The house can accommodate up to 6 clients at a time and supports children and adults with a variety of complex disabilities. Working in a team, you will facilitate the delivery of quality services and achieve positive outcomes with service users while actively supporting their individual needs and creating a safe environment. This role may require specialist care such as peg feeding, hoisting and managing complex behaviours. We have casual contracts available with varied day/night shifts. Shifts include: Day shift - 07:00 - 15:00/16:00 Afternoon shift - 15:00 - 22:00 Night shift - 15:00 - 23:00 (sleep) or 22:00 - 08:00 (active night) Our new team members must be both adaptable and flexible and have demonstrated experience working with complex health care needs. Key Responsibilities Support in day to day living such as meal preparation, housekeeping, support in achieving personal goals Personal care including personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, medication Utilise positive behaviour strategies Maintenance of progress notes and record keeping Skills & Experience Experience working with clients with complex health care needs and behaviours Certificate III Individual Support, Disability or similar Good computer literacy and administration skills to complete progress notes and use online IT systems.
